Tough call to make here. Kentucky has been the surprise of the SEC, reaching 7-5 and shocking Georgia in a season that many felt would be the final nail in the coffin of HC Rich Brooks. Clemson started off strong, losing in week two to Boston College by a blocked extra point but then reeling off six straight (including wins over division champions Georgia Tech and at Wake Forest) where the average margin of victory of was 31.8 points. In their last four games they seemed to fall apart, losing to Va. Tech on the road (and only scoring 7), Maryland at home (scoring only field goals and giving up an 85 yard drive late in the fourth to set up the game winning FG for the Terps), and blowing another fourth quarter lead to the hated Gamecocks at home. When you boil the two down, Clemson is probably the better team with Kentucky not really having a "good" win (Central Michigan is a MAC team and UGA was having some serious problems when they met), but I have to go with the 'Cats here. Clemson's performance in the latter part of the season just doesn't have me convinced that they can finish strong while UK has fought to the finish in every game they played. I'll pick Kentucky in a shoot out.
Nico:
Cat fight! Cat fight! No, not that kind of catfight. I've gotta go with the SEC on this one. Go Kentucky.
Irrational Bama Fan:
'Cats basketball is evil, but I hate all Tigers, especially lame fake ones that are totally ripping off the SEC. Hey, why don't you pick an original mascot and maybe name your stadium something original while you're at it?! There's only one Death Valley, and it's in Lousiana! Boo Clemson!
